Regional teams composed of the most talented players from their respective area codes to compete in the tournament for bragging rights of who is number one.
Yes, practices are permitted if coaches and parents can agree on a practice schedule. We understand that many parents, coaches, and players have busy schedules. If a parent chooses not to have their child practice with the team due to scheduling conflicts, it will not negatively impact the player's standing or playing time.
Coaches will flip a coin or discuss before each game to determine home and away teams. White/pink jerseys are for the home team, and black/green for away. If there is a jersey you had not worn by Sunday, which is unlikely, wear anyone you like.
Player selection will be based on a variety of factors including statistics, athleticism, player and parent attitude, and director evaluations.
Local directors will ask coaches to upload their gamechanger stats for the 2025 season.
Each player will receive two hats, two jerseys, an Area Code ring, and a bag. After registration, the order will be processed, and parents can pick up their child's uniform on Saturday at their assigned locations starting at 7:30am. These items will also be available for pickup throughout the weekend. All players must wear white knickers or white pro-style pants with a belt and a pair of socks that match their uniform colors.
Head coaches and assistant coaches will each receive a hat. Coaches may wear their travel team's t-shirt and shorts.
All players must wear white knickers or white pro-style pants with a belt and a pair of socks they are comfortable with.
Higher seeds will be the home team during bracket play. For pool play, teams will determine home and away status via a coin flip at the plate meeting.
Please select the correct age group for your player based on their 2025 season team/age classification which began on August 15, 2024. You can use the USSSA Age Calculator to determine the appropriate age division for your player.
Please utilize the following rules and bylaws for all of Saturday and Sunday games.
Use a Continuous Lineup: Include all available players in the batting order for every game.
Batting Rotation: Please choose one of the following options for the entire weekend and stick with it. One of these approachs offers the benefits of a continuous lineup (everyone gets to bat) while aiming to balance at-bats for the entire weekend.
1. Invert Lineup for Second Game & Every Game Thereafter: Simply reverse the order of the lineup you used in the previous game. This ensures everyone gets a chance to bat early and later in the game order over the course of the weekend.
2. Alternatively: If the fourth batter is the final out in the initial game, the lineup for the subsequent game will commence with the fifth batter as the leadoff hitter, followed by the remaining players in sequential order.
We will follow the standard USSSA pitching rules for all age groups. To ensure fair play and development, we will implement a rotational defensive strategy. Players will be moved between positions throughout the game, aiming to provide as close to equal playing time as possible.
